22/08/2018 - Diet Diary - Welcome! What was the best thing you ate today, whether diet or not?

Mine was watermelon. Can't beat it. When I was a kid, living with grandparents, Sunday night and some weekday noon meals in summer we would eat nothing but watermelon. Well, Gramps would sometime have some leftover chicken or the like.

Today's calorie count was around 1150, not too bad. Finished off leftovers so will have to consider cooking tomorrow. Hmm. Have an abundance of kale this year, need to find some more creative uses than smoothies, salads and soup. Or else soups that use more kale.

It has been a great year for kale, cooler nights most of the summer, which the kale likes but the tomatoes, not so much. They are very slow to ripen this year. LOTS of green ones but only maybe 10 have ripened so far. Today was the first time I found more than one at a time turning red.

G'day. Being ill got me out of touch with my mission to loose weight and be healthy. Yesterday, I restarted my mission, had a day with fewer than 1200 calories, and ate well. There are still a number of RL things to do that take my time. Still don't have my PC working. However, I shall post daily as EdEarl1, here, and will return as EdEarl as time permits me to work on my PC.

Goal less than 1200 calories, 1000 curls, 200 lift overhead w/ 5lbs per hand, take 100 steps.

Great to have you back, even in a limited capacity. Good to hear you are feeling up to resuming your mission. Hope you keep feeling better and get that computer straightened out soon.
