7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible? Well, keeping my eating controlled has been a struggle. Days start well but evenings have been full on challenging. Weight remains in the same range, 6-8 pounds above my goal. My exercise program has improved. I did get a key to access the local rec center and between that and the senior exercise class, I'm averaging 40-60 minutes of exercise at least 5 days a week.
Finally got the bathroom vanity done, sink installed, no leaks incoming or outgoing. Next step is deciding if I'm going to tackle the other half of the bathroom on my own. The appeal of sticking close to home, avoiding people is growing, not just because I am an introvert but when I get a project going, it is not unusual that it requires multiple trips to the hardware/lumber stores. As anxiety levels increase, my desire for isolation grows. That life as a lighthouse keeper/forest ranger is sounding more fascinating every day. Strangely, I don't consider myself someone who runs from things but I frequently fantasize about doing just that.
Well, enough of that. Still working to keep weight fairly stable, at least not rising since Nov/Dec. Will get it back down to the goal weight, maybe it will go easier if I eliminate some stress. Still limiting my internet time, exercising more and reading more, all good steps, I think. Finishing the bathroom will be a relief, just getting half of it done felt really good. No church tomorrow so a good work day!
Thanks for the encouragement. I am not getting too excited about being back up some but figure I need to keep focused on the original goal so I don't let the gain go higher. I am keeping an eye on clothing fit, if the jeans I got after losing start getting tight, definitely time to get more serious. So far, no significant change in this.
You're doing great.. 6-8 lbs is practically nothing
Posted by OldMetalHeadI hit a new weight milestone this week. Still trying for the six-pack.
Posted by OldMetalHeadThe hardest part for me is not falling back into old bad habits after meeting goals.

Posted by JonnaBononnaI had finally gotten back on track after gaining back most of the weight I lost a couple of years ago.
Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.
