Sometimes I'm late to make these, so please feel free to do so yourself. Just copy this preamble and change the date.
Goal, under 1271 for the day. Did pretty well at counting stuff until I made a pot of soup, which I have not entered into the analyzer. I started with a mix for wild rice soup but made it the deluxe version, with broth, milk, chicken, carrots, celery, onion, tad of asparagus, potato. It made a very thick, delicious soup, which I ate a large bowl of, 2 cup serving. I took it over and shared with the neighbor but still have more left so will work on analyzing it before tomorrow. My count for the day, without the soup was 644. I don't think the soup would have been over 600 calories worth, even with a double serving but I can't be sure, it is easy to underestimate calorie counts, especially in multi-ingredient recipes.
The buffet up-cycle is proving to be quite a job, door that was not fitting well, adjusted hinges but that didn't fix it. Realized I would have to completely reset hinges, in different location as they needed to shift only about 2 mm lower so either move or fill existing screw holes and then move them the 2mm down. Decided that being a bench in it's future life, the gap at the bottom would never be noticed and I opted to sand the top edge down so the door will fit. It is an over 90 year old buffet so SOLID wood with interesting details but not in good enough condition to be "valuable". Up-cycling meant I didn't have to build a bench from scratch for the dining room and then put the buffet out for salvage/trash when I put in the cabinets that will go on the wall it was standing against. I'm optimistic that it will turn out well.
edit - Did analysis of recipe, came up with 283 per cup of soup so my day's tally was 1210. Wouldn't have minded being a bit lower but not horrible. Salt intake for the day was higher than it should be however. I'll pay for that! ?
