4 March 2019 - Diet Diary - I'm about fed up with winter. Nothing normal about this winter, started early then went away and early fall returned but when winter should have been starting. Then it came began again, but only every other day (or two) then, when spring should be lurking around, it came with a vengeance. Below zero temps in March are not normal Kansas winters. Of course, last year wasn't real normal either, a year ago today it was 81°, not normal for the first week of March. OK, enough complaining about climate change, before I get into the idiots that deny it.

Intake today was 1068, salt 1650. Not sure why I keep checking salt, it doesn't seem significant. Besides, when I check that, I get to see the other nutrients that I get either way too little or way too much of. Sometimes it is better to not know.

Got my countertop edge on, sanded it and it looks good. Now to figure out what stain color to use and how long I will have to wait to put the poly on it. Ventilation may be an issue and when it is 10° I won't be opening a lot of windows. However, I'm thinking the floor is finally going to get started in the near future. YES!!!

Great cabinet work...and kudos on continuation with the calorie count. I'm back up after getting careless....oh well....focusing on improving today...

That *careless" (perhaps more aptly named, care-less) can sneak up on you so quickly. Today i finally charted weight for the last 3 days, the 3 before that remain blank as I can't remember the numbers. The point of keeping the record is, of course to remind me to stick with it. Got in a mood, partly because the scales were not reflecting what I thought I was doing. I need to work at keeping emotion out of my eating/diet.

The up side is that weight doesn't go back up magically so as long as careless/care-less doesn't last too long, regaining lost ground isn't hard. Unfortunately, returning to old behaviors like eating whatever I want, whenever I want, as much as I want, getting on the scales once every 3-6 months, will never be acceptable again for me. With time, it has gotten easier but it is still not a "natural" thing for me. I particularly miss that "as much as I want" part. 😟

Way too often it is a battle but tomorrow is always a new day. Good to focus on that. Thanks for the cabinet comment! 😉

@DotLewis Good points. You've inspired me to start writing my weight down. It's in my head, and I weigh myself daily, every AM...but I think If I write it down it might help. Thanks.

That looks so nice! Not too dark a stain I hope - it all looks so bright and fresh. I know what you mean about tyhe weather. When people ask me what the weather is like here I tell them I could have told them a few years ago, but now it has become very unpredictable. Maybe more interesting though?

Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
