16 March 2019 - Diet Diary - Well, finally got the computer back online. Much easier to keep up.

Unfortunately, I lost my mind completely the last 2 days. Today, I think I did stop short of 1500, although I won't swear to that. Yesterday, I won't even venture a guess. It was one of those "if I touch it, I'm gonna eat it" days. Hopefully, having regained (mostly, I think) consciousness, I think it is passed. Don't know for sure what the trigger was, suspect it was in part because I had a weight bounce after my under 1000 calorie day. I was a little frustrated by that and it may have set off my little binge.

I also have been less than industrious since Wednesday, have not worked on my cabinet project at all. I did do some other chores today, kitchen cleaning and organizing stuff as well as putting a pan of vegis in the oven to roast and a crockpot "Irish" meal, corned beef, carrots, potatoes, green beans and cabbage. It was very tasty, have lots of leftovers however. Not a lot of beef, bought just over 2 pound brisket but put in a full head of cabbage and over a pound of baby carrots.

Hope to have a better report tomorrow. Must log food as I go until I'm sure I'm back on track. When I get this way, seeing the record of what I've eaten helps keep me from going too far. Yesterday, put down breakfast then nothing else until evening at which point I didn't even try to recreate the day. When I'm balanced, I can do big portions of the day tracking in my head, logging later but when I'm off, I tend to discount a lot of stuff. This is precisely why I realize I will never be fully independent of the need to monitor my intake.
Well, until tomorrow, off to duct tape my mouth shut. 😉 (jk)

Posted by OldMetalHeadThe hardest part for me is not falling back into old bad habits after meeting goals.

Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
