23 March 2019 - Diet Diary- WHAT WAS I THINKING? I have no idea. Today I decided to take steps on the floor replacement. Got into my head that taking up the old kitchen vinyl was essential to fitting in the new subfloor and tiles. I had already tried this with just scraping and was defeated but there was a split in the middle of the floor where subfloor was exposed and I thought I could hit it from that angle and using the heat gun, get the old flooring up. It turned into a nightmare! Tar like substrate was securely attached to the subfloor. Heat made it possible to separate the tar/adhesive from the back of the vinyl, which turned out to be sheet vinyl glued over much older tiles. Here is hoping they were not asbestos tiles.
I concluded, after learning how hard this was going to be, to remove only the inner portion of the kitchen floor, to include the space in front of the door. This will remove the concern about clearance of the door. Beyond that area I believe the new subfloor, 1/4" specialty plywood subflooring will adapt to the slight variations in the existing base. Meanwhile, did finish trim on the cabinets, hides the joint between the upper and lower quite well.
All this work did effectively keep me out of the fridge much of the day. Although I thought I had eaten too much, when I put it in my tracker it added up to only about 1150 so pretty good day. Tried "overnight oats" this morning. Just a recipe that popped up in my emails. Had oats, flax, chia and yogurt with a tbsp of chopped walnuts on top. Basically oatmeal but chilled and topped with yogurt. Not great on a real restricted calorie day, around 350 calories, but would be nice once in a while when not being as strict. Think I like the pumpkin, oatmeal cupcakes better, though. Those are also basically oatmeal but with pumpkin instead of yogurt. No plan to make those tomorrow so nice orange and coffee for breakfast.
Posted by OldMetalHeadI hit a new weight milestone this week. Still trying for the six-pack.
Posted by OldMetalHeadThe hardest part for me is not falling back into old bad habits after meeting goals.

Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
