Today I had an angeogram, which means a doctor put a catheter in my left arm at the elbow and threaded it form there to the middle of my lower leg. She said she saw my artery was clear. However, over twenty years ago, my feat became numb. My doctor said it was probably due to plaque build up in the vessels of my feet, which cut blood to nerves. In addition, my feet looked awful; my toenails had fungus growing under them, which makes thick ugly nails.

After I switched my diet to a plant-based whole-food diet (to tell the truth, I'm still cheating on that diet), my blood pressure dropped to normal and some bad pain in my feet subsided. Since then, I've been eating the vegan whole-food diet and I expected the plaque in my vessles to be removed; it is a natural body process, but can be overwhelmed by eating things with too much cholesterol. So, I'm feeling pretty good about the procedure; though, it was a lengthy ordeal. I left home about 8 am and returned about 3:30 pm.

So, I attest that a plant-based whole-food diet cleans your blood vessels of plaque, stopped neuropathic pain in my left foot, and lowered my blood pressure to nominal after three months on the diet, even though I weighed almost 450 lbs.

Congrats on the good test outcome. Sounds like that diet has really worked well for you. It is really great that the issues with your feet are under control. As I recall, you said you are diabetic. I have (had) a couple friends here in the community who are diabetic and had problems with their feet, one lost a food, the other is currently fighting an ongoing battle with serious wounds on his foot that will not heal. He is still at risk of losing his foot.

Sounds like a diet with a lot of benefits. Although I don't eat a large amount of meat, by US standards, I continue to think I am too self-indulgent to go vegan. I include a lot of vegis in my diet, not always the best one, calorie wise. My FAV currently is garlic roasted butternut squash, carrots, sweet potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli and onions. This year I am growing butternut squash because I struggled to find a good source for them last fall. My seedlings are already 6" tall and the pre-leaves are over 1.5" long. No sign of sprouts in the tomato container though.

Hope things are going well for you in general. Is your business venture progressing well? Is it mowing season yet?? 😉

Things are going well, thanks. I hope all is well with you, too. The business venture is getting off to a slow start. I need to walk to speed up the process, so I'm getting new diabetic shoes and will be able to walks some afterward. However, my wounds on feet are slow to heal and easy to cause. I must not hurry my walking.
