15 April 2019 - Diet Diary - Not a lot new today, had several things to do so didn't work on floor other than sanding some of the patches. Still have to do under the toe kick, which means hand sanding. My belt sander won't go under the overhang. Then, I guess I get to "pet" the entire floor to make sure it all feels smooth and no lumps, bumps or nails that will press up the tiles. Only thing on schedule tomorrow is to take truck to the shop and see if they can replace the battery cable clamps. It's a job I could do but I don't want to have to take the time to do it and today truck was DOA because the connection was bad. Hopefully they will be able to do this as I travel Friday and on the weekend and I don't want to end up in a distant parking lot, dinking around under the hood, trying to re-establish connection with the battery.

Intake today was at 999 calories, I could have finished under 1000 but no, I had to have those 6 peanuts so ended at 1024 instead. Chaotic day, between exercise, shopping, dead truck, board meeting and shopping (diff store) my eating was quite scattered and not real healthy. Very limited fruits and vegis, too much sugar. I'll try not to make a habit of this.

Oh I'm so happy to have found this group!!! I have always been in the midly obese classification. I figure if I kept the weight down to under 30 BMI I could avoid illnesses like heart disease and diabetes type 2.

Well that didn't work because I've had a heart attack and have diabetes type 2. I was shocked, scared and pushed into losing about 30 lbs. It wasn't a good trip tho.

Now I have to be concerned about triglycerides ( I love sweets), bad cholesterol, A1C, what foods I eat and getting my lazy self out there and exercise regularly.

I hope joing this group will inspire me to get back on track.

My A1C hovers around 7 or less. That's something I suppose.

Good to have you!
I consider this group to be a good resource for anyone working on losing weight or keeping it off. It is not extremely active in terms of regular posters but members do read the posts and if you pose a question or seek advice/support, members are quick to respond. I think, for the most part, members understand and empathize with those who are fighting the weight loss battle and even if they are reluctant to post their own personal details, they are quite willing to offer advice and encouragement to others.
I think you will like it here and look forward to seeing more of your postings.

@DotLewis thank you so much!!! 😊

You are so capable you make me feel ashamed of how little I do for myself. I have always done DIY and home decorating and I have laid a couple of woods floors but I have never managed to get to grips with anything mechanical. I was lucky to have a very capable friend who did such things for me but now
That he has died the car just has to go to the garage . Since your intake was so low, surely it doesn't matter if it was unhealthy just for one day! I get the impression you are usually pretty good about snacking.

Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
