9 May 2019 - Diet Diary - Running late tonight, won't get any reading time in as I'll be lucky to even get into bed by 2. Nothing striking about the day, exercise class, quick shopping trip with the neighbor. Did make a batch of apple chips tonight and it appears this experiment went much better than the first batch. These are great tasting, not a lot of calories, even though I do sprinkle cinnamon sugar on them before baking. After trying some commercially made chips I was SO loving them but the calorie intake is way up there, like 150 in 12 "chips" which are quite thin and maybe 2" in diameter. Doing them myself, that 12 chips might be 60 calories, maybe less. I have not counted the end product yet which will then allow me to determine a "serving" size but 1/4 of what I made tonight has 60 calories.

That said, gotta finish up. Ended the day just under 1000 calories. Didn't eat any of the apple chips yet, have to cool overnight in the oven. But tomorrow..... yum!!

I just looked up the recipe and Apple chips look like a great idea as long as you can keep the quantities under control. I shall make some myself. Thanks for the idea. Have you tried oven-dried strawberries too? I notice a recipe next to the apple one.
