14 June 2019 - Diet Diary - Friday. Does 14 June 2019 - Diet Diary - Friday. Doesn't mean as much as in the work years when it meant WEEKEND!! Bedtime approaches, will need to stop shortly. Did a bit of cleaning today, putting some stuff out for trash. Good step as I have been really slacking the last couple weeks, not wanting to move forward on any of the projects I was looking at.

Intake today was around 1150. Salt went high because I had a serving of burrito casserole which had over 800mg in it. Didn't care at the time, it is quite a good casserole. Not too worried, BP is better today and does not seem to react to salt. If I really went nuts on it, I'm sure it would effect my BP but I generally come in well below the "national average" salt consumption even though I may be over the RDA. Leaving now, must get to bed.

Weekends are much the same as other times for me except for the inconvenience of not being able to get things when an emergency arises!

If your salt intake is a bit high, does it help to drink extra water to wash it through? Despite being obese, I don't have a blood pressure problem so I don't know any tricks!

Staying hydrated does help. Water retention is my biggest reaction to having too !much salt. I came jump 4 pounds overnight if I really overdo it. In the past losing weight was recommended by the Dr to address the early stages of high BP. Never stuck with it though and it may have made no difference. Losing the weight this time has not caused a drop.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
