8 July 2019 - Diet Diary - It rained tonight, HARD for a bit. Running late as I was checking basement for water and setting buckets for runoff. Got some stuff done today that needed addressed. Figured out how to resolve the issue with my truck's seat belt which has a malfunctioning buckle. Should work fine, it's legal and will cost MUCH less than the original estimates. Got an appointment for a "skin check" Friday, routine screening but needed to get done. Also got appointment in 3 weeks to see doc about how the new BP meds are effecting me. Having some problems with lightheadedness on standing, which just started after increasing the med strength.

Controlled eating better today. NO ice cream, although I did wait until today to measure the servings out. Had a little more than half a serving "left" but put it in a container for another day. Had tuna/pea salad on romaine lettuce for supper. Had forgotten how much I like that tuna salad. One of those "don't know why I don't make it more often" recipes. Kept intake today under 1100, weight this morning was up a little but not above goal. Not a bad day, overall.

Kudos to you, Dot....for getting back "on the wagon" (ice cream is addictive).

I've gone down on the scale for the last 3 days in a row. Token amounts...really...but incremental progress.

Thanks! That ice cream is indeed addictive. Putting it in single serving containers is the best way for me to avoid overindulging. I just have to be sure to transfer it to those containers immediately. Every day it sits in the carton is another day I may serve myself from the whole, without measuring.

In these later stages, you have to take any progress as a win. This close to your goal, especially such a low one, getting there just seems to take forever. If you are not going up(at least not for more than a day or two) at this point you are still winning and it will eventually creep down more.

While I did not set out nor try to lose weight quickly, in the first 6 months, i dropped 30 pounds, relatively pain free. I maintained for 6 months then set to it again. In the next 6 months, i lost another 25 pounds, not quite so easily. I again went to maintenance through the holidays, into March. Since the third week of March, I have battled that last 9 pounds to my goal. I am still fighting to "stabiize" at or below that goal weight but day to day fluctuations can easily bump me over.

Persistence and patience will get us there! 😊

Posted by JonnaBononnaI had finally gotten back on track after gaining back most of the weight I lost a couple of years ago.

Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
