1 August 2019 - Diet Diary - Great way to start the month, going off to the doctor. More PVCs, made me lightheaded during exercise class. BP was up so went up to clinic to see nurse about whether to be concerned. Ended up with an EKG, which showed nothing and seeing the doctor. She concluded that it was time to refer me to a cardiologist to see why control was this challenging. Didn't increase the med that was just reduced on Monday as she thinks the slow pulse rate I already have from the meds, may be causing some of this. I'm hoping this will provide some better control of my heart rhythm. Fortunately, at the moment it does not appear anything imminently risky is going on but it sure is annoying.
Intake level today was unusually low, largely because of the other issues. I didn't eat between breakfast and supper and my total today was 910 calories and I will be going to bed shortly as I have to go 90 miles tomorrow for appointments. Skipped out on the last night of water aerobics, actually a "play night". Wasn't really feeling up to it and doc thought it would be better to skip it and not overexert for a couple days. Cleaned off the dining table instead. Small bounce, 0.2 lb up today.
I hope you manage to sort out your heart issues today. It may not be life-threatening but if it affects your day-to-day life it is a constant worry and source of stress. It's good that the problem is not causing you into emotional eating. That seems to me to indicate that you have really changed your approach.
Day didn't go well. This wasn't the cardiologist, it was a couple "check-ups" that I had scheduled and have to go out of town for. They turned out well, however. The emotional eating has at least been more time limited lately. Like today, had a brief spasm and ate significantly more granola than intended. Got started and had a hard time stopping. After than I didn't "binge" on anything else so was not way out of control.
Posted by OldMetalHeadI hit a new weight milestone this week. Still trying for the six-pack.
Posted by OldMetalHeadThe hardest part for me is not falling back into old bad habits after meeting goals.

Posted by JonnaBononnaI had finally gotten back on track after gaining back most of the weight I lost a couple of years ago.
Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
