1 Sept. 2019 - Diet Diary - Food prep big time the last 2 days. Cut up and dried 8 trays of pears, made 7 pints of watermelon pickles, cut up the large cantaloupe that was in the garden. It refused to release from the vine and I hadn't checked it for several days. Was still firmly attached to the vine but had several cracks in it and a hole in the bloom end, I assume from insect of some kind. Cut it to see if it was any good since it was not releasing like a ripe melon. It was really quite tasty. Cut away the bad spots and cubed the rest. Cooked what I think will be the last of the rhubard in to sugar-free sauce and peeled and cut up a couple dozen "cooking" apples someone gave me and made a pot of cinnamon apple "sauce". It was quite chunky so not applesauce in the traditional sense.
I'm not actually a prepper but sometimes I feel like one when I look at my assortment of canned stuff, dried stuff and staples (cause you never know when you will really want to bake something) On top of that, freeze drying has recently fascinated me although I will NOT be buying a freeze drying machine. Guess deep down there is a little "prepper" in me. You never know when some maniac is going to set off WWIII.
Meanwhile, topped out today under 1000 calories. Cut down because my travel day and the next one as well, were hard on my program. Good thing I don't normally travel a lot. Mostly go for my eye appointments and occasionally to visit a friend in Colby. Much more than that can be a problem because of the "kids" who require my timely return. When the weather is cooperative (fall/spring) my little one can travel with and I enjoy that but can't do it unless she can be in the car by herself for a little while. Giving it up for today, going on 1AM already. Work to do tomorrow.
Posted by OldMetalHeadI hit a new weight milestone this week. Still trying for the six-pack.
Posted by OldMetalHeadThe hardest part for me is not falling back into old bad habits after meeting goals.

Posted by JonnaBononnaI had finally gotten back on track after gaining back most of the weight I lost a couple of years ago.
Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
