16 Dec. 2019 - Diet DIary - Hanging in there. That seems to be about as good as it will get. Still hovering in that 5 pound range above my goal weight, down a day or two, back up the next. November/December is the worst. Still, I am down at least 5 pounds from this time last year. I entered the last holiday season 10-12 pounds away from my goal weight. I maintained through the holidays then finally kicked back into dieting in the spring.

As long as I make it to the new year no more than 5 pounds over my goal, I will be OK with it. So far, hitting the 5 pound point spurs me into action for at least a few days. Then something comes along to crush my resolve, like making pear bread for xmas gift boxes. To anyone else struggling with the season, hang in there, try to keep it level then take up the fight anew in 2020.
