Feb. 1, 2020 - Diet Diary - Been struggling lately. Trying to bring some health issues under control and also to stick with proper eating to drop down to my goal weight again. Have cut salt intake and controlling that is worse than controlling calories. It has had a positive impact on my BP though, the late evening spikes have dissipated. It means eating a lot more fruit, unfortunately, also makes it more tempting to eat more sugar as sweet stuff tends to have less added salt.

Weight is still hovering 7-8 pounds above my goal, which I had reached last summer/fall. The last week eating has been pretty appropriate but the body is not giving it up easy. See a couple doctors this month and have an eye appointment. Not excited! Trying to get closer to goal weight before the primary doctor's visit on the 13th. Gonna need to hurry up.

Replace salt with vinegar...

Thanks! I like balsamic and cider vinegar. Will try it for some seasoning.
