13 Feb. 2020 - Diet Diary - Doctor appointment well fine, weighed in at 150.4 but note that their scale generally weighs 3-4 pounds heavier than mine at home. Still, I'm sitting at least 6 pounds over my goal so will need to keep working on it. She agreed with my assessment of the salt issue, said I am apparently one of the "salt sensitive" people and should continue to try to limit it.
She did ask about my walking and I admitted it isn't so good. I go to senior exercise twice a week, which is a fair substitute but the other days don't see a lot of aerobic activity. More consistent exercise would be good for my health and might even help elevate my mood, which has been rather sober lately. I've said for a couple months I should clear a space in the basement and set the treadmill up again. Maybe put the old TV down there so I could be entertained while walking. That hasn't happened though.
However, today I heard about a deal at the community rec center. They will issue a key fob for the cost of $10 the first year and $5 a year after that. You can gain access to the rec center any time you want with it, not just during "open" hours. They have a bunch of exercise equipment there or you can walk laps in the building. This would allow for some options when the weather is not conducive to walking outside. Think I will stop in tomorrow and get one of the fobs. The center is only a block away from my house so unless it is slick/storming, can easily walk to the building. Even 30 minutes out of the day, between walking there, working for 25 minutes and walking home, would be a big improvement.
Posted by OldMetalHeadI hit a new weight milestone this week. Still trying for the six-pack.
Posted by OldMetalHeadThe hardest part for me is not falling back into old bad habits after meeting goals.

Posted by JonnaBononnaI had finally gotten back on track after gaining back most of the weight I lost a couple of years ago.
Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
