Fought obesity much of my adult life. Tried and failed with many forms of weight-loss programs. All failed. Was told 3-years ago I was pre-diabetic! That did it. Diabetes is a horrible, costly and life-threatening condition. I tried something I never tried before... just eat HEALTHY food. No more trash-food. 99% of my calories come from single-item (single-ingredient) foods and NOT packaged factory-kitchen concoctions. I maintain 100% control over what I eat. No more added chemicals, colors, additives, flavors, preservatives, enhancers, salt, sugar, or fats. I also stopped eating mammal meat. That means my foods are 99% veggies, fruits, no-fat dairy, fish and poultry. Turns out I can eat all I want and am never hungry, but have lost 70# in the last 3-years... from 240# to 170#. Blood pressure, blood sugar, energy and overall health are all in normal range now. Have another 15-20# to go this year and can then shift to maintain that weight. YOU can do this. Just remove ALL the crappy non-natural ingredients from your plate (and drinks). Nothing to buy, nothing to join, no shaming. Takes a little effort to start, but then it becomes 100% "natural". I'd be happy to answer any and all questions from those serious about doing this.

Welcome. Your diet is similar to mine. Although my goal is vegan; I'm not perfect. Loosing weight like you. My doctor recommended vegan. Sounds like you have a recipe for success. Grats.

Posted by OldMetalHeadThe hardest part for me is not falling back into old bad habits after meeting goals.

Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
