Friday evening rain in the Bobcat boogie 5k. It was pouring down rain. For some inexplicable reason they started the 1 mile fun run with all the small children before the 5k. Since we all followed the same course, the 1st 1/2 mile was spent dodging elementary school kids splashing in puddles. My ex wife was right. I will never grow up. When a little girl dressed like a butterfly, jumped out of a puddle she was having a splashing contest in with two little Forrest Gump look a likes. I offered my assistance and joined her in splashing the boys her brothers as I found out during our battle with the Gump clones. Ran the next morning in another downpour, and felt my age after that one which I think I won, at least my age group. A hot bath and a shot of Meade, made life seem liveable again.
