Beware Misinformation:

Hey all. I've looked around at quite a few posts and wanted to say we should be careful about giving advice and listening to some of the advice written here.

Someone is not necessarily correct because they're in shape.

Someone is not necessarily correct because they know someone or have used a strategy themselves.

Someone is not necessarily correct because they're a personal trainer (me included).

Information should only be evaluated by it's own merit and congruency with a body of scientific evidence. Is someone presenting a noncontradictory theory that is in accordance to known and accepted laws of biology, anatomy, and physiology?

I can tell you we tend to WAY overcomplicate diet and exercise. things we make important aren't nearly as crucial as we make them out to be.

Watch out guys.

@MrHIT

Okay, but not all exercise is social. There is necessary practical and scientific knowledge to know about it, which hinges on material implications. All you're doing is attacking stuff you don't like.

I think it's perfectly ok for folks to share what they do and what works for them in the area of fitness, but agree that this should not be presented in the context of advice.

Edited to say "things". Using the app my phone sometimes autocorrects and other times doesn't. I'll be more acute to spelling in the future. Thanks for the heads up.
