A great, fun workout yesterday. My gym has been holding outdoor workouts for several months now, well-distanced. I attend 2X-3X a week, and nearly always on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Yesterday, in temperatures below 30 degrees, there were 15 of us plus ...

Is this a great day or what? For the first time since Philly went into pandemic-lockdown in March, I am going to the gym this evening for a group class. We are fortunate to have a good amount of outdoor space, so there will be a minimum of 10 feet ...

I bought a weight vest over the weekend and have been using it in my exercise routine. It's awesome. Should have done this long ago. To all the backpackers here I have a new admiration for you.

So what is your current favourite physical activity for your workout? I've been really into riding a bike this summer. I hadn't ridden since I was a kid. Winter will be setting in, so I'll be on the elliptical a lot. I've also been thinking of ...

After roughly 3 months off the wagon, I just climbed back on! My elliptical broke down a few months ago. I completely rely on it for cardio. It's so hot (and smoky now) out that riding my bike is not a good option. I also tried just running ...

I took a little more than 3 weeks off from exercise. I got back to it today, and towards the end of my workout, I felt like I was going to be sick. This always happens when I take a little break. Maybe Friday will be better.

I've lost about 100lbs in a little under a year and a half. It all comes down to dieting. Healthy carbs, healthy sugars, drop soda and juice and alcohol, don't eat past 9pm. Lastly the worst for some people is working out, when it shouldn't be. There...

I train every day, but I modify my exercise daily. Some days, solely cardio, usually interval training/calisthenics. When I lift, I include body weight with free weights. This combination works well with a clean diet.

After my mother died 4 years ago, I became very depressed and just ate myself into oblivion. I went from weighing about 140 pounds to nearly 250 pounds quite quickly. At 5'5", that is a lot of extra weight to carry around. I just didn't care about ...

I haven't felt like working out in forever which led me to the answer to the question about what to do when you lose your motivation to exercise. The answer is (drum roll) do it anyway.

I’m definitely not a ‘warrior’ but I’ve been going through exercise phases since my mid-40s. For a while, I’d work out during the summer (I’m a teacher), and then taper off and eventually quit (hit the wall) during the school year. I’ve...
