I have been watching the US National Spelling Bee for the last two nights. These kids are BRILIANT. I don't know how 13-year-old kids can know so much about everything- and know the spelling and meaning of words that the average person has never heard of. Big bravo!

I expect they've been taught good time management skills. I love smart people, children or adult. One thing I do is whenever I come across a word that I am unsure of the spelling or meaning, I immediately look it up. Anyway, here is your word for the day to familiarize yourself with: brilliant. Sorry, couldn't resist!

All children are smart until they find out that ignorance is "cool" in America and they stop learning for popularity purposes.
