A part of me wished I was like my extroverted brother as a kid; He was the life of the party; got all of the compliments and attention from loved ones; he could sing, dance, and had a showman-like personality. For these reasons, our family always made him feel special.
I was the quiet, shy one; I could sing and dance too, but very few knew initially. I stayed out sight playing keyboards and guitar; writing poems and songs, but didn't want him or any one to think I was trying to compete for attention; in my mind I would lose, because I felt less special when he was around.
Introvert, extrovert, or whatever; No child should feel less important or less loved for any reason. While they are learning and growing, we should make sure WE learning how to make them feel loved, and as special as every one else-regardless
