I'm such a good listener that even my therapist shares her issues with me.

I think that is true and may be part of why people are so exhausting. I pay attention to important stuff.

I guess I am, but it's usually because I just don't have anything to add to most conversations. Too many people talk about the most meaningless, petty crap that I really don't care about.

You are probably right. I am a magnet for people coming to me with their problems. Not always for advice but, just to listen or help guide them in whatever they are having a problem with.

I've been thinking introverts have so much going on in their heads that it doesn't take much social interaction to put them in overload and suck the energy out of them.

I think it depends on the person and the situation. Sometimes we can get so wrapped up in our own heads that we tune the rest of the world out. I know I'm guilty of that. But other times I am a very good listener to the point that I attract 'energy vampires' and have to protect myself.

Oh yeah, we can listen with the best of them. We're also highly aware so we noticed little things, body language Etc.
