With the coronavirus threatening China , and since that's where the fare earth minerals come from , the tech stocks took a sudden dip - so I bought , and watched the stocks go up and down as if they were a ship on a turbulent ocean . At one point , my stocks (had I sold them then ) would have taken a loss , but I hung on . Things began getting interesting Tuesday morning , my stocks started a definite upward trend even before the market opened . I put in a sell order , giving myself a hefty increase . This morning the market was very busy , and had passed my sell price , before I even logged in , but I took a chance , called up my stock and requested to change my selling price by an additional five dollars per share . Managed to get it in , before my stocks sold . Now it's time to wait to see if I made a reasonable jump in price .
