Real estate can be a good way to invest , even if it's only the home you live in , but sometimes , there are unexpected costs . I was updating the master suite , and had the old white carpeting removed as it does not work well with my scooter . Once the carpet was up , I saw a crack across the poured concrete floor/foundation . So today , they are reinforcing the foundation .
