When I studied for my degree in Biology (evolution being the main part) I discovered that most of the animal kingdom, including humans, have homosexual tendencies. The alpha male gets all the females and the rest have to contend with what's left, ie other males. Sex and aggression seemed to be intertwined and so to release aggression they shagged each other. It did appear that the runt of the litter (in general) bore the brunt of this but didn't appear to object. It would appear that about 20% of an animal species are homosexual. Not sure of the stats for Humans but I would think they are the same.

I'm sure I still have the 'Animals Like Us' documentary series stored in a box somewhere. Thanks a lot for sharing this particular episode to the group. It's worth a rewatch.
