I wasn't aware the acronym grew.

There's a lot of repetition these days. Pan is a flavour of bi. 2 spirit is a flavour of trans. But then I suppose lesbian has been a flavour of gay from the outset. It's losing its focus: allies, polyamory, and even the occasional move to bring race under the umbrella. It needs to remain centred on people who face direct discrimination for their sexual identity, and not get distracted into other matters IMO.

The moment someone adds C for Cis, H for hetero or S for straight, I'm going home.

I agree with you on the redundancy.

Your last line made me LMFAO!!!!

I'm a chair of the charitable group Intersex Friends and Families, and our President came up with the term QUILTBAG as an alternative to the above acronym, here's a link for each letter of QUILTBAG:

Tenuously related, but just wondering on your thoughts with respect to hypospadias (glanular, in my case.) Does it qualify as intersex or not? The ISNA sidesteps the whole issue by declaring the term 'Intersex' to be redundant, to be replaced with Disorders of Sexual Development. But while hypospadias is clearly a DSD, the ISNA doesn't go so far as to declare the two synonymous.

Plenty would say it doesn't matter, but it does to me. I've been pondering as to whether I am intersex or not for over two decades now. It's quite frustrating having an identity dangled in front of your face and being told 'you might be this... then again, you might not.' I see a lot of trans people appropriating intersex when they don't qualify by birth. I don't want to jump on that bandwagon.

Just wondering what your thoughts are, given your background.

@Nicole The short answer is yes, but I'm writing you a private message as not to distract from this thread.

It's starting to lose the point of an acronym... o.O

I was wondering if I was the only one thinking things are getting slightly out of hand.
