Reminds me of arguing with someone who said "they were Christian but didn't believe in Jesus" once... And also kind of my mom and ex girlfriend who both said "they weren't religious but have a relationship with God". It made me think about starting a relationship between my head and the closest wall...

Obviously a typo. A theist not atheist ?

taichifan Level 7 Sep 17, 2018

He said it 4 times and uses the word "an" in front

@ClaytonE83 I'm making an absurd reason as a joke.

@ClaytonE83 Letterman said absurd jokes in his top ten like I did such as a team is swept in 4 games in the World Series. He says that they thought the Series was the best of 15 games and were planning on making a stunning 8 game comeback.

@taichifan sorry, I thought you might be kidding, I'll try to give people here the benefit of the doubt. Not as many imbeciles here as Facebook.

@ClaytonE83 no problem ?

That dude is majorly confused. He just needs to make up his mind & quit jerking around.

Same goes for identifying with what country your race started from..ie: African American, Japanese American, etc...

Captnron59 Level 9 Sep 17, 2018

How so? Countries actually exist...

@ClaytonE83 your either Americans or not. How many times have you heard I'm Irish American?

@Captnron59 true but that is pretty different from saying you believe in a diety but aren't religious. That is basically noting their descent. It's more relevant if one is a minority or has recently immigrated(or had parents who did). I think I get your point but it's a complicated issue that is slowly changing...

@Captnron59 I actually agree with this. I detest delineations like
Italian-American, Irish-American, African-American, etc. I don't give a
shit about heritage or culture. I really don't. It doesn't matter to me,
AT ALL. All of that is just more shit to divide us up into tribes.
That tribal bullshit is ancient and at the root of most of humanity's
problems. Just look at the Middle East. They started that bullshit, and
it's STILL going on. Look at Ireland. They're ALL Irish, but you've got catholics and protestants killing each other for decades. Sure, it's better now, but it wasn't all that long ago they were blowing themselves up over it.

Okay, not a hypocrite but seriously deluded???

phxbillcee Level 9 Sep 17, 2018

I don't know what SWT means but sounds hypocritical to me..

Maybe you could say Jewish Atheist?

Only because some consider people of Jewish descent a "race".

@ClaytonE83 I have an Atheist friend that swears up and down that it is a race. That's where I was coming from.

@TheGreatShadow well, if they just said they were a separate race on their own I'd argue about it and tell them they are delusional. But since a group like the Nazis singled them out as a race and people still treat them as one I don't typically argue about it. But I didn't grow up feeling like light skinned Jews weren't white like me, but not everything is about how I feel lol

@ClaytonE83 The guy is intelligent.

Side not I don't capitalize nazi.
