I had no clue who that guy was and my ex husband had to explain . I looked him up to the best I could w articles of all types . And I decided that this is an arrogant fucker who will sell his own mother for publicity / money/ ego / anger .
I disliked them then and I never bother w people I dislike . When this guy was running for president of USA and I first heard of it , I thought it was a joke . I really really thought it was a joke .

Most people thought it was a joke and a publicity stunt and underestimated him. Something that should never have happened.
@Pralina1, @glennlab & the Media played right into it, he received so much airtime during the primaries, far more than any other candidate, because he was like a car wreck you can't look away from! Anybody that knew of him from before (he even got a number of storylines in Doonesbury over the years, as well as RS & other mags) knew what a scumbag he was.
@phxbillcee I have been aware of him since he was a civil rights violator and walking billboard for the northern racist movement in the 1970s. He was the classic northern racist, where the discrimination is hidden, but just as damaging as the overt southern racism.
