I live in Wilmington, NC and almost a year ago Hurricane Florence just wiped a lot of people out ( me as well ) . Then the Vultures showed up in the form of fewer houses/apartments and in many cases the doubling of rents .

This is unfortunately a common occurrence. I moved to New Orleans immediately after Hurricane Katrina and the average rental prices had doubled. It's a sad thing, indeed.

@surrealhoax I use to live in New Orleans on the late 70's .
I have not been back since then . I absolutely loved the place,I am planning to go back this winter and see how things have changed .
@GEGR you know the deal, almost everything will have changed but some things will feel very familiar.
