The couple in the next room kept the bed banging against the walls and the floor popping, on and off all night. At breakfast in the morning they were nowhere to be seen, sleeping it off, I guess. But the hotels owner had obviously heard it, even at the other end of the building. She told me she was very sorry about the noise. Which I said, was sweet, since it was hardly her fault.
She said. "Yes but I should have known, when they said they had come for a party, but they were not dressed for going out."
