A step in the right direction! This is ChoCho, Jared’s (my brother) rescue from Houston, she is very timid and fearful of men, but this morning I got her to take food from my hand, making my day. To the people who can put a dog in this frame of mind, I only wish the worse for you.

She was almost bald, red bumpy skin from flea bites, almost 50% underweight and all teeth were loose, plus tits filled with milk from yet another litter. Not easy to catch, either, then huddled in a crate all the way home (7 hours) I ended up carrying the crate into the house at 2 am because she wasn't leaving it! The next day we bonded over food, the next day my girlfriend came to see my new friend, bringing small-dog stuff from her house...i had only had 60+ lb-ers, ever. As soon as Wendy saw her, she began to tremble so violently I had to put her down, I thought it was a seizure! After about a year, she now snuggles happily on any available lap, gets all excited when she sees a party is planned. They just need love & nutrition! Even most of her teeth tightened back up! You are Great!

She defenitely does, sadly I have to go home before complete trust was built. It is slow progress. Saddened by how much a stranger being in house makes her feel.
People suck. I wish you continued progress in getting her past the fear.

Posted by fotol8yI rescued this little guy about 8 months ago. He has FOPS and though he seems happy while he is near or on me, I think he is in a lot of pain and isn't putting on weight. Very worried about him.

Posted by Falsifiable1Added a Russian Blue kitten to the family. He’s fearless and just a furrball of energy. So far, my two year old cat hasn’t warmed up to him, but its only been a few days.
