It seem to me a good idea to help introduce the concept of testing in the simplest sense by making lists of examples of the current questions one asks oneself in order to find a new fact or reassure an old one, followed by the action performed in testing. This is so we might increase the list and the habit of testing for a useful and reasonable purpose. I am not trying to induce OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) here.

What useful testing routines do you have in your life?

eg I always test to see if my coffee is too hot by feeing the side of the cup -liquids too hot can cause ulcers and even cancer in the mouth

My life is so energetically involved with spreading scientific method to all ages of learners that there is so little room to relax and make it only benefit myself. When I meet a new person I am continually dreaming of new method details to find out their beliefs , their work, who else they influence perhaps. This is my punishment for being a not very good science teacher, now that it is too late to reach back to past pupils and colleagues.
