Those are the best kind! Certainly you are fully qualified! I have a Ph.D. in physics but it doesn't make me any more qualified to discuss things here. Welcome!

I think anyone with a genuine interest in science should be welcome in this group. Do others agree?

I'll go with the flow. If this is agreeable to the group then a small edit to the group title may be a good idea? @ScienceBiker

What are you interested in scientifically?

I observed for Cornell Feeder watch & Monarch Waystation Milkweed observations.

@Countrywoman Birds, Butterflies, and invasive plants. That's a diverse set of interests. I have been involved as a concerned citizen with the eradication of an invasive aquatic plant called hydrilla. It's not easy getting cooperation from the various levels of government.

I also do prairie restoration & woodland restoration. Milfoil is our nemesis in the ponds around southern Wisconsin. Eradication is hopeless. An ounce of prevention......

@Countrywoman I'm glad you are a nature protector like I am. Our situation has become so corrupt that pro bass guides and duck hunters hired lobbyists to keep invasive plants in the lakes because it benefits them. Once again the needs of the few can organize and defeat the needs of the many.
