America...R.A. Nappi
America the beautiful America the free
Words that no er have meaning for me
Each assigned a number given to us at birth
Other then tracking what is it really worth
Kids now turn in their parents to the authority
That's one of the reasons we fought Nazi Germany
Now it's electronic eavesdropping and electronic mail
With each passing day we become a fenceless jail
The brother syndrome has truly come of age
Passively we accept instead of being filled with rage
We rape the land of it's beauty and are we really free
This is not how our forefathers saw this to be
Hungry, homeless will work for food as pay
Our 's logo should include this today
Violence plagues our cities drugs consume every town
We see something so ugly we tend to look around
Children kill teachers when they bring guns to school
Show and tell has changed but still a powerful tool
In a few years we'll have the turn of the century
Is this how America will go down in history...
This was penned Pre-Columbine...I had what I would call a vision of society evolving into this...Penned 4/27/1994
The fat virus has struck again stealing a lo ng and possibly a big?
Back in the 1980`s they had begun putting metal detectors at some of the inner city schools. My thought is if schools would have cameras on the outside of the school how many of the kind still be alive. Good Rune
It's not only about the schools...It's about a reflection on society as a whole...I agree with the first comment...It's only going to get worse before it gets better
Posted by EntheogenFanI wrote this about a crazy girl who I loved like crazy. She made my entire life feel like insanity.
