What is this spell? It makes me pine
And wish that we could intertwine;
Conjoined in body and in soul,
Our essence but a single whole.
What is this spell? This sorcery
That takes such powerful hold of we?
For you as well beholden be
And yearn for deep intimacy.
What is this spell? This magic trick
Of which some Wizard took his pick,
And then intoned his incantation
To launch us into love's sensation.
What is this spell? This broth so rich
Brewed by devious Cupid's Witch,
That coats his arrows to the heart
With potent potions that love impart.
What is this spell? This powerful charm
That traps our souls but does no harm.
Steeping them in gentle mist
By purest love they have been kissed.
What is this spell? Pray question not
The Why, the Wherefore nor the What.
Accept it as our destiny:
Full revel in love's mystery.

Fasaha barua ya mapenzi, kwa kuwa muse kama hiyo!
Karibu, memsahib. Kuja karibu sana.
@Petter B' aliens, don't you know that English is the lingua franca on this site? Please use private messaging for your jabber.
@FrayedBear My comment, which in the lingua franca on this site simply reads "Well written love poem, to have such a muse!" was directed soley at the author, whom understood it perfectly. My apologies for such an egregious violation of site etiquette.
@Amzungu2 I was fully aware that Petter understood and he, I expect, understood that my comment was written with a big grin. My apologies for not having made it clear to you with a ????? or ?. Thank you for your courteous response.
@Amzungu2 Frayed Bear used to speak English, but has been brain-washed into using a pidgin form of the language, commonly found near the confluence of the Indian and Pacific Oceans with the Southern sea. Despite this handicap, he is an interesting, if tetchy, example of human evolution.
@Amzungu2, @FrayedBear Karibu. You are welcome/come in. I am remarkably pleased to have come across the both of you on this site.
@Petter What do you mean "used to" - according to many snobs in the South of England English is not spoken north of Watford Gap and certainly not by Blackpuddlians with Lancashire accents.
@Petter Likewise dear valued friend.
@FrayedBear I'm newish here, and have seen many get their panties in a bunch over less, so thank you for the clarification. I find there is a fine line between my own expression of sincerity and sarcasm, so no need for emojis, I prefer the challenge of deciphering words as they are played.
@Amzungu2 Thank you and for your "panties" comment which has me smiling comparing it to the harsher phrase "knickers in a knot" used "oop north".
Emojis are equally useful to express the emotion of the author just as a scowl or smiling eye lines indicate in conversation to accentuate what should be heard through intonation but sadly fewer learn the art of emotive enunciation because we live in a world of electronic screens and increasingly minute vocabulary.
Posted by EntheogenFanI wrote this about a crazy girl who I loved like crazy. She made my entire life feel like insanity.
