Has anybody else had a compression fracture of their lumbar vertebrae? I’m in China visiting my wife’s Mom and Dad. I fell off a cement post I was sitting on, got a compression fracture on L2 vertebrae. I elected to not have surgery here in China so they told me to lay in bed for 3 months. Any advice? I had kyphoplasty surgery on L4 two years ago and it never completely stopped hurting. The lady who did my MRI here in China told my wife to not have surgery.

I doubt if Atheists here can give you relevant advice across the Pacific Ocean...maybe we have 3 members in Hawaii....Filipino docs are also too far away.....are you a Veteran? Call the nearest Veterans Hospital on duty nurse, probably in Japan or Formosa....ask the nurse what to do next also ???

I actually did it June 7th and been staying in bed since then. I feel I’m slowly getting better but I don’t know when I should start getting some exercise. My wife had to talk to the doctors because my Chinese is not so good. She says they want me to stay in bed 3 months. China blocks Google so it’s hard to research but what I do find says to start doing light exercise when you feel you can. Driving me crazy staying in bed all the time! So glad I brought my Kindle!
