Okay, let's get off the Covid business for a spell here and discuss the matter of "Trickle Down Economics" that our present ( Mis)-Government so dearly loves.
" Trickle down," occurs ONLY when, for example, one has a condition such as a 'wet fart' or the like, correct?
I.e. the 'loose and uncontrolled excrement' IS drawn down by gravity from its point of exudation and eventually reaches the feet and the ground.
Unlike 'loose excrement' MONEY always defies gravity, so to speak, and RISES inexorably towards the TOP, so how does "Trickle-down Ecomonics' expect to reverse this trend?
- The (Mis)- Government gives a low income earner a tax cut of, perhaps, 1% on the GROSS income, NOT the Nett income, and YET decides that the BIGGER End of Town MUST receive a far BIGGER cut as per percentage, correct?
Okay so we have Joe Blow earning about 50,000 dollars per year, maybe a bit more than that but this is just for arguments sake, now he gets an EXTRA $500 per year.
Little Mr.com/Mrs.com/Ms Rich person gets, for arguments sake, $500,000 and with the TaxCuts, now rakes in an $ 5,000 per year.
Joe Blow pays GST on just about EVERYTHING but can ONLY write off a very things when he submits his Tax Returns each year, correct?
Rich/well-off person/s do PAY GST BUT can write-off heaps and heaps, including GST when Tax Return time comes around.
The tax return 'benefits' Joe Blow can 'expect' are like a 'drop of piss in a tea-cup' when compared to the same BENEFITS the Rich/Well-off can expect and receive, correct?
So, I ask earnestly here, which way EXACTLY is the money/benefits flowing?
