Waiting at hospital watching morning TV and they were crapping on how Vic? (think) govt has issued directive that the terms "wife" and "husband" should be avoided as being non inclusive. They dribbled on how it's a bit PC but the right thing to do. Oh well, there goes the old rhyming slang of "trouble & strife". Seems "partner" is the new black (until those who have multiples or are proudly unattached start crying discrimination that is)
But why I'm posting is as I was absorbing this new vital social engineering measure the next story came on how a council worker helped fish a guy's phone out of a........wait for it..........manhole. Now manhole was mentioned numerous times without any linking it to the previous PC correct story.
Do like irony, tickled my fancy so thought I would pass it on.
