Our little group kind of reminds me of when, back in the late 80's -early 90's, I started a Citizen's Band Radio Group known as the A.M.O.S. (A Mantle of Safety) Club.
Its initial intention was to be a group/club of like-minded people getting together over the radio waves to provide 3 main things,

1. forming and operating as a fund-raising network, Australia-wide for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and,
2. a network of C.B. Radio Operators that could acts a possible replacement for the then defunct C.R.E.S.T. Service by broadcast, responding and even relaying Emergency Calls received, and,
3. a Social network for radio friends to get together for chats as well.
   A.M.O.S. started out with just 5 local members and within the space of 6 months had grown to 120 members from Australia and New Zealand, 12 months later we had well over 1,500+ members and their families listed and enrolled from countries as far away as the U.S, Canada, England, Ireland, Germany, France, South Africa and even 2 from Russia as well.
   Though I cannot speak for the other 'originals' of this group of ours, I feel quite humbled in seeing that we have 'spread our wings,' so to speak, and begun to encompass new friends from far away countries.
   And as such I thank them all most heartily for their support in joining aussie sceptics and making it what it is today.
