In 1970 as a 15 year old I marched in anti Vietnam war demonstrations in Adelaide (still have the badge I wore that day). I didn't know the word 'clusterfuck' back then, but I knew a faulty premised folly of a war run by the corrupt American Military Industrial Complex when I saw one. By 1975 we were all proved right, with America's 'negotiated withdrawal' from Vietnam. I don't care who is US President or their party anymore; Australia needs an independent foreign policy. Whitlam made something of an effort back in the 70s and the Yanks did their bit to knife him. And yes I also feel sorry for the vets. Lied to again by our US ass kissing pollies.
