Has anyone noticed an abundance of Islamic presenters in news and light entertainment all of a sudden? maybe it was just my imagination, but the 1970s style headscarf seems to be very popular for no reason. I remember a time when I was growing up where this was a symbol of repression in some peoples eyes, yet a couple of decades later, it appears to be promoted towards girls.

I have read the koran, and I don't recall any explanation as to why these things are so important, in fact the 'tradition' only was enforced in the later half of the 20th century, depending on which nation you care to refer to.

Not really noticed but I tell you what, I am well over having to regularly go to the hairdresser; make sure my hair is looking 'good' for my day at work. Fuck it! I'm getting a head scarf too.

So that is the purpose and the full face cover to hide the wrinkles?

@FrayedBear YOu want me to get you one too Frayed Bear?

@FrayedBear maybe....sometimes people prefer to wear them when attending a doctors office when they otherwise would not normally do so

@MsDemeanour No one liked my face when I was young so do you think I'm bothered about my wrinkles?

@loudshirt weird people without standards. My father would never leave the house without having had a shave or wearing a tie.
