A few birds from Songkhla province area
1.juvenile black-shouldered kite, swamp area near my place, Songkhla, Thailand.
2.little egrets snatching shrimp from a shrimp pool near the Gulf of Thailand, Ranot, Thailand
3.nonbreeding whiskered tern, near Gulf of Thailand, Songkhla
4.wood and marsh sandpipers, pool near the beach, Songkhla
5.male plain-backed sparrow, near Ranot, Thailand

I have been looking at your posts for sometime. Did not realize you are a rehabbed. What bird is in the first picture? I will post some pictures I have, this area is a wildlife mecca. Now i have to prove it.

I'm not sure what a "rehabbed" is, but I'd love to see photos of birds around Astoria, Oregon.
@birdingnut I met a person who is involved with a rehabitation center. I may have mis written.

If you are asking if I have a college degree in ornithology, no. I have a Masters in English literature.
I do read, and read my first bird book at five..the illustrated National Geographic children's North American birds book. Even though I was born and grew up in Haiti, of American missionary parents, I knew common North American birds before I'd ever seen them.
I inherited my grandfather's old Peterson's North American bird field guide and some binoculars, so I was in business.
@birdingnut fascinating story. Keep up the good work.
An especially nice photo of the black-shouldered kite! I wish I could fly ... I think.
