As the father of a child who went through Chemotherapy my answers are;
A) Be supportive and caring at all times, BUT do NOT go overboard with it,
B) Remember that Chemo can and does often change the temperament of the patient so be ready to give them some leeway when needed,
C) ALWAYS tell them the straight out TRUTH, despite what YOU think, they can handle it better than you think,
D) do you darnedest to keep your promises to them as best you possibly can,
E) tell them they ARE special to you because they are because there is NO guarantee that treatments will work 100% of the time,
F) last but by no means least, allow yourself time to relax, recuperate and gain your inner strength because they need it to come from you as much as you need it to endure what is happening.

I first did chemo 6 years ago. Saved my life as well as bone marrow transplant. Couldn't do it again -side effects would kill my heart.

@sassygirl3869 I'm very sorry to hear that, I do hope that you are staying well and happy these days though.
Keep on fighting, smiling and enjoying life to the max.

@Wangobango3 at least 6 months. a year for hair to grow back. How is she doing?
