This is SICK AND PISSES ME OFF - What about you? A woman faked cancer to save her marriage - how an impulsive thing snowballed. I suffered through ACUTE MYELOID LEUKEMIA which resulted in a bone marrow transplant. Life threatening like CHRONIC LEUKEMIA. No gigantic fund raisers either!!!!!!!!!

Any time someone lies (more than little white lies) something is wrong. The worst part about this - while I empathize with your reason for posting - is that she was trying to manipulate someone. Yeah, she picked an especially shitty way to do it, but there wasn't going to be a good way.
That said, I understand why this would irk you specifically and you're right to be upset about it. I hope this woman gets help.

Once upon a time I got a fellow supervisor fired after it turned out she was faking cancer to get all the days off she felt like taking. Our supervisors were mad as hell at me because they had swallowed her BS completely. I was tired of picking up the slack from a faker.

Wow. I think 'sick' is the right word.
She must not have had much going for her to be desperate enough to try that. It makes me wonder about her life and her husband. I'm having trouble imagining the whole situation (and the forthcoming consequences).
I'm assuming that she was in such a state that she either didn't know or didn't understand the consequences her actions would have on others.
Again, I have trouble imagining those terrible actions with knowledge and purpose.
