My fabric art pieces are pretty simple. I tend pick flowers a lot as subjects because most of my friends have some sort of garden.
What I do is stretch the muslin in embroidery hoops, the rectangular ones. I use thinned out fabric paints, allowing them bleed and overlap. After it is dry ,and I like the background, I usually applique leaves, petals, or whatever the subject is. Then I use my sewing machine sew the stems, around the flowers...whatever strikes me...I add the embellishments like metallic paint, inks, dots, etc. Sometimes I quilt the projects, sometimes not. You can add whatever embellishments you want.

Thank you...but they are usually dictated by my interpretation of the receivers' own beautiful gardens...mother nature is the best painter and I just copy her...lol
