I did not make this, thought it is a good idea for my next project. Now I got to go out and find an old nightstand. Has anybody here ever refurbished old furniture in this sort of way?

At the moment I bought a bread bin in a second hand shop for £3.00 I have given it legs and it fits exactly between two architraves - Work-in -progress as i m as till figuring out what I want in the middle bit but am loving the challenge I used to be a jobbing plasterer and also went to classes for joinery but I am not a good planner many of the things I decide to do turn out to be impossible but my totally favourite thing is messing around with wood. We also are 4 minutes from the beach so come september tides loads of driftwood to play with.

This looks like a jewelry box. I have one just like it. You are thinking to do full sized? I would love to do furniture in this way, but not Halloween. Maybe steampunk or fairy floral. I just bought a dresser and a tall stand that all I did was paint to look nice in the room. I have thought of dressing them up a bit!

@Sheannutt I like to have the record too, but when I'm working on client projects my mind is consumed with conceptualizing what I want to accomplish, taking the steps towards making it a reality. I'm lucky to remember to snap a pic when I deliver it! I will say having such great camera phones has helped out with that immensely...no more forgetting my camera!
@CelticFire Ditto! I have to post to my family and friends if I want a pic of something I made.
Wow!! Nicely done who ever did it. I've never refurbish furniture period.
