Relief ceramic mural I did at Southwest Minnesota State University. This was all handmade (wet clay) tile and I added several cast bronze accents (flowers and lizard). Coloration is underglaze.

That is awesome and the time it must have taken. Wow.

Thanks, it was a labor of love, and you tend not to notice the time spent on those. They just flow.

Quite a project!

Thank you. I was doing a lot of relief murals for a few years. Still set up for it all but not producing much these days.

Thanks. I had never done a mural this size before, and was curious as to whether I could even use cast bronze accents. It all worked out.

Wow. How long did it take? Very nice.

Thanks. It took a couple of weeks to produce. I knew where I was going before I started so I had dedicated two work tables for just this project. I had to design and build some drawing and transfer tools to get the waves right. The casting of the lizard and the flowers was a side project but I've got a small foundry here as well as the kilns and other tools. - Weird story: This was sheetrocked over for a few years while a nearby building was being built. The room was used as a weight room and the school was worried about damage. When the pulled the sheetrock it was like a rediscovery!
