I've been kinda liking the new wave of Canadian made genre series like The Expanse, Killjoys, Wynonna Earp, 12 Monkeys, etc. Disappointed when we lost Dark Matter.
Used to be I could spot a Canadian show within seconds and it was rarely any good as far as my tastes went. Especially the look of them.
These new series are appealing to me though. They're fun stories, have sharp writers putting fast quippy dialogue in the actor's mouths, show technical savvy and the international casts are good.
If you haven't watched them, you might find something you like fyi.

12 Monkeys was absolutely brilliant!
Hated to see it end, but it ended so heartbreakingly well....

Agreed. Just wrenching at times.
If you haven't already, try Continuum. Very good Canadian time travel show. First two seasons were amazing, before going downhill. Being shot primarily for Canadian broadcast (with SyFy broadcasting in the States), it was at least allowed to end naturally.
