My very struggle.

@Lillyfield41 -- We know that there are certain things about history that have built in flaws. If it is simply a matter of adjusting the timeline for your characters to properly coincide with Penn's presence, then do it. All I can say to you is that I am one of those who even checks for the phase of the moon on a given night, but have been willing to overlook a week's shift in timeline for the sake of story. That because no one else, unless obsessed with checking my story, would know about that week. Decide.

@evidentialist ha! I pulled calendars to figure out days of the week and checked weather reports to ensure accuracy. I think it will all come together after i look at these transcripts. The story is still there. Its not ready to toss in the waste bin, but i'm wondering if some details need correction in the obvious revision.

@Lillyfield41 -- Sadly for you and all of us who pursue these nasty little endeavors, it is entirely on your shoulders. I wish you well in your coming tumble off top dead center. Just know, there are others who share in this pain every ... frikkin ... day ... of ... the ... year.

@evidentialist not yet. Hoping this weekend is a little productive. I took some drives (research/inspiration?) But, i had some mental health issues too. Ugh. I gotta be getting somewhere though right??

yes. i'm worried that i'm just procrastinating. i have promised myself to trust the transcripts (when i read them), now that i have tracked them down. i talked with a friend of mine about writing something important and then he and i discussed what the word important actually means. and in my opinion, if i have something that is blatantly incorrect, i feel as though it negates much of the message I feel my main characters want me to convey.

@Lillyfield41 As long as you can point to a primary source, you'll be fine. Your characters may not be so fine after the massive burn-off one of them appears to be planning.

@pixiedust oh she's murdering a church full of folk! i can't talk any sense into her at this point.

@Lillyfield41 I don't entirely blame her, especially this time of year. Have fun!

@pixiedust -- You make a good point about changing accepted 'fact' in your initial comment. If that were the case, pursuing the change in facts would be more important to me than the story because it would affect reality. The problem with that is that when one goes farther back in history than a couple of centuries, it is difficult to determine whose facts are the real facts unless it is something glaring.
